The Virginia Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) has provided services to 7,202 Virginia teachers since the start of the program in 1993. During the 2005-2006 school year, 1,012 elementary school teachers participated in training programs while 98 middle school science teachers attend various AITC programs. These teachers touched more than 26,000 students this school year.
